A number of dealers are reporting difficulty using TRR with Internet Explorer verion 6. Is this your experience? Once successfully logged into account via the above UN / PW, when you GO TO 'register tires' page, are you instead navigated to a page asking for credit card information even though you have a positive account balance? You are not alone!
It seems that Microsoft has tightened security with cookie driven sites such as ours. Basically, to authenticate your use, a ‘cookie’ is sent to confirm LOGON UN / PW and then again when you go to register tires. This is good because it keeps others out of your dealer control panel, account and away from data.
HERE ARE THE FIXES -
- GO TO your START button and select MICROSOFT UPDATE to update your operating system to contend with security issues / leaks that Microsoft is trying to plug up & (if you use Internet Explorer as your browser) upgrade to IE 7 http://www.microsoft.com/windows/downloads/ie/getitnow.mspx and
- if the above fix doesn’t work, install as a second browser, FIREFOX - http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/ - we know Firefox works well ... when asked, choose to keep Internet Explorer as your preferred PRIMARY browser. |
